St. Veit in Defereggen is a municipality in the Austrian state of Tyrol, district of Lienz (East Tyrol). The municipal area includes the middle Defereggen valley and some side valleys. Almost a quarter of the municipal area belongs to the Hohe Tauern National Park.

    Catholic parish church of St. Veit in Defereggen: The parish church, dedicated to St. Vitus, was first mentioned in 1313 and elevated to parish status in 1891. In 2002 it is consecrated again after an extensive interior and exterior renovation.
