Leutasch is a municipality with 2472 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the district of Innsbruck-Land in Tyrol (Austria). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Innsbruck. Leutasch is known today as a winter sports resort for its kilometers of cross-country ski trails. The village is located in the Leutasch Valley, a high valley that stretches for 16 km from the Hohe Munde to the northeast along the Wetterstein Mountains and ends in the Leutasch Gorge, which forms the border with Germany near Mittenwald.
