Culture and sights
Old parish church of Lech am Arlberg: The church was built around 1390 in Gothic style and thoroughly renovated in 1987.
Kästle Mountain Museum: In December 2008, the Kästle Mountain Museum was opened in the mountain station of the Rüfikopfbahn. The permanent exhibition shows the history of the Kästle ski brand and its close connection with Lech.
Viewing platform on the Rüfikopf just above the top station of the Rüfikopfbahn. Here you can enjoy a very good panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
Huber-Hus Museum: The Huber-Hus, which was built in 1590, first invites visitors to discover rural living and working on the ground floor, with the kitchen forming the historically oldest core of the house.
Gipslöcher nature reserve: Above Lech is the "Gipslöcher" nature reserve. The area stands out with over 1,000 sinkholes, where the diameters can reach up to 100 meters and a depth of 35 meters. The nature reserve was also established because it is home to 20 different species of orchids and many marmots.
Cineastic Gondolas: at the beginning of the winter season an art festival for animated short films, visual art & music takes place in the gondolas of the Rüfikopfbahn or in front of and in the Rüfibahn mountain station.
Skyspace Lech: this light space and art installation was conceived by James Turell in 2014. The artist's goal was to enable the meeting of heaven and earth in the high alpine landscape with a new view. To this end, James Turell created a circular structure that was largely underground and thus fits perfectly into the sensitive alpine landscape.
