Culture and sights
Parish church Feichten Holy Trinity
Pilgrimage church Kaltenbrunn Mariä Himmelfahrt: The church is located in the front part of the valley at 1260 m above sea level. In 1272 the knight Erbo Schenkenberg from Völs am Schlern is said to have built a chapel here as penance for a murder. An image of grace from the 14th century made it a place of pilgrimage for the lansquenets. It houses altar figures from around 1720 and a crucifix from 1697.
The valley museum in the Platz district is a local history museum that displays objects from the old ways of life and economy, a collection of minerals, exhibits on mining and alpinism, and the transportable workshop of a wandering cobbler.
In September 2021, in the presence of the Austrian Federal President, a new permanent exhibition was opened in Feichten 134, which, under the title Mit aller Kraft[4], sees itself as a place of information and learning on the topics of climate, glaciers and water that are relevant in the valley as well as in the nature park and beyond.
