Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee is a market town in Upper Austria in the district of Gmunden in the Salzkammergut region. The municipality was called Goisern until February 28, 1955, and Bad Goisern from March 1, 1955 to September 30, 2008. Bad Goisern is located at an altitude of 500 m in the Traunviertel region in the Inner Salzkammergut. The Bad Goiserer Basin is a valley basin of the Traun Valley.
Culture and sights
Catholic parish church Bad Goisern hl. Martin: From the Gothic construction (1487) of the church, the one-bay net-rib vaulted choir and the pointed arched northern marble portal from the year 1530 have been preserved unchanged.
Bad Goisern Protestant Parish Church: The church was built in 1782 and rebuilt in 1813-1816 by Pastor Johann Georg Overbeck. The north tower bears a pointed helmet from 1857. The interior was extensively renovated in 2008.

Chorinsky hermitage in the Weissenbach valley. The dam made of limestone blocks is a technical monument from the early 19th century and was used for timber drifting.
Anzenaumühle Adventure Museum: The open-air museum is a Paarhof association typical of the Salzkammergut region with a residential house, stable, mill and sawmill. The museum is the oldest Paarhof in the Salzkammergut with a Rauchkuchl, grain mill, sawmill and stable stables.
The Heimat- und Landlermuseum shows, among other things, the culture of the Transylvanian Old Austrians in Bad Goisern, who were deported to Transylvania as Protestants in the middle of the 18th century.
The Josef Putz Monument is located near the market square. It was erected in memory of Josef Putz, a member of the provincial parliament who died in 1926.
