As different as you can choose your accommodation, so you can arrange your time on vacation. In the surrounding area there are several golf courses, tennis courts and routes for cycling and hiking.
Our house is a family business and is located away from the main road in a quiet residential area. We rent a total of 5 apartments with balcony or terrace and beautiful views of the mountains. The second house, which also houses vacation apartments with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, is connected to the main house via the large garden.
As different as you can choose your accommodation, so you can arrange your time on vacation. In the surrounding area there are several golf courses, tennis courts and routes for cycling and hiking. If you prefer more the cultural aspects in your vacation, there are many sights in Salzburg, Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden.
In our small village you can also find the famous pilgrimage church Großgmain, the Marienheilgarten and a rehabilitation center. Famous personalities like Josef Meinrad left their traces in our village. You can also reach the castle ruins of Plainburg on foot from our house.
Our approx. 2500 m² large orchard offers enough space to relax. After a relaxing day you can end the evening there, on the terrace or balcony. If you are still hungry or thirsty, there are enough restaurants in the immediate area.
It is our concern to provide our guests with a beautiful and relaxing vacation and look forward to welcoming you in our house!
The house was renovated in winter 2018/19 and in this course converted to apartments. Since then, there are five apartments with different styles in the Untersberghof so that every guest can feel comfortable here.
The large garden with loungers, chairs and tables invites you to relax. In addition to the large garden, we have also created a herb garden which also serves as a place of strength.
The history of the house
The house was built many years ago and since then it has been renovated and modernized again and again. In the beginning it was a small farm.
From 1960 rooms with breakfast were offered.
In 1962 there were 10 beds and thus the first business license!
In 1973/74 we gave up farming, demolished the stable and built rooms with shower, toilet and a breakfast room.
Finally, in winter 2018/19 the house was converted to apartments.
The herb garden
In 2016, a herb garden was built. It is a place to relax or recharge your batteries, which place is right, everyone must decide for themselves.
Various herbs were grown and the appearance of the garden changes every year.
Cultivated are medicinal herbs such as St. John's wort, mallow, mullein, cordial, rue, purple coneflower, thyme, sage, mugwort, yarrow, ... but also different varieties of mint, rosemary, lavender, chives, marjoram, etc. can be found in the garden.
The center is a stone from the Untersberg.
