Riezlern is a village in Kleinwalsertal in Vorarlberg as well as the capital and village of the municipality of Mittelberg in the district of Bregenz. The village is located 70 kilometers southeast of Bregenz, 23 kilometers south of Immenstadt and 44 kilometers northwest of Imst, in the middle of the Allgäu Alps, between the Northwestern Walsertal Mountains and the Southeastern Walsertal Mountains.

Walser Museum in the tourist office: In Riezlern, the Walser Museum is located right next to the municipal office. The visitor will find here rich material and valuable pieces about the Kleinwalsertal, its history, inhabitants, customs and much more. On the second floor there is the Walser living culture and an original alpine hut. Every Wednesday, in case of bad weather, there is a demonstration on the making of the Chranz, the headdress of the Walser girls.
